Shaw Sells ViaWest on Attractive Terms, Buys More Spectrum; Shares Overvalued After FVE Increase
On June 13, Shaw Communications announced that it reached an agreement to sell wholly owned subsidiary ViaWest to Peak 10 Holding, a U.S.-based colocation and managed hosting service provider, for $1.675 billion, or about CAD 2.3 billion. The deal is scheduled to close by the end of fiscal 2017 and is subject to U.S. regulatory approval.
