Tough Third Quarter for Sherwin-Williams, but Long-Term Outlook Unchanged; Maintaining $290 FVE
Sherwin-Williams reported weak third-quarter results, with adjusted EPS coming in at the low end of management’s $4.20 to $4.40 per share guidance at $4.23 per share. Based on lower-than-expected earnings during the quarter and a forecast for a fairly soft fourth quarter, the company cut its guidance for full-year 2016 earnings by $0.20 to $12.25 to $12.35 per share.
