User Acquisition Spending at Sina Will Offset Operating Leverage From Weibo in the Near Term

In light of narrow-moat Sina’s better-than-expected results and our plan to raise our fair value estimate for Weibo by 30%-40%, we expect to raise our fair value estimate for Sina by 10%-20% to between $134 and $146 per share. Sina’s fourth-quarter net revenue and operating income beat our estimates by 9% and 6%, respectively. Management guided for total revenue of CNY 2.23 billion-CNY 2.38 billion for 2018, in line with our estimate of CNY 2.24 billion, mainly due to Weibo's strong momentum.
