Southern Reports Strong 1Q and Partially Walks Back $7 Billion Equity Issuances
We are reaffirming our $51 per share fair value estimate and narrow moat rating after The Southern Company reported strong 2018 first-quarter adjusted EPS of $0.88 versus $0.66 in the same period last year and partially walked back its plan to issue $7 billion of equity over the next five years.
