Splunk’s unique analytics platform is distancing itself from the Big Data pack, but challenges loom.

Splunk delivered blow out fourth-quarter results that were ahead of our expectations. The company continues to add customers at a strong clip, but an increasing ratable revenue mix will likely continue to create some fits and starts for the top line and profitability, evidenced by management’s middling guidance.
