Premiumization, channel expansion, and technology efforts offer Starbucks a long runway for growth.

While last week's announcement that Howard Schultz plans to turn over the CEO reins to President/COO Kevin Johnson added intrigue heading into Starbucks' investor day on Dec. 7, we believe the key takeaway from the event itself was that few, if any, consumer companies are as well positioned to adapt to evolving consumer expectations across the restaurant/retail landscape, and that the company is just starting to scratch the surface of a compelling longer-term brand, geographic, and channel diver...
