Sell-Off in Stericycle’s Shares Overdone; Shares Currently Offer a Significant Margin of Safety
We already expected that a hurricane-soaked quarter would weigh upon wide moat Stericycle’s ability to maintain its 2017 earnings guidance; however, the sell-off in shares that followed the third-quarter report appears largely overblown to us. Stericycle finally announced its intention to move ahead with a comprehensive turnaround plan that will include restructuring and implementation of an ERP system. While full details won’t be revealed until early 2018, we’ve proactively tempered our expecta...Stericycle is engaged in the medical and hazardous waste management and secure information services. The company's segments are: North America, and International Regulated Waste and Compliance Services, which provides medical waste management services, pharmaceutical waste services, compliance programs, retail and healthcare, industrial and manufacturing hazardous waste management and secure information destruction; and Domestic Communication and Related Services, which provides appointment reminders, secure messaging, event registration, and other communications mainly for hospitals and integrated delivery network's as well as regulated recall and returns management communication, and logistics.
