Investing in its better-quality retail portfolio is a low-risk growth strategy for Stockland.
Stockland raised the lower bound of fiscal 2017 guidance to 6%-7% growth (previously 5%-7%) in funds from operations, or FFO, implying fiscal 2017 FFO of AUD 33.0 to AUD 33.3 cents per security, or cps. Given a first-half FFO of AUD 15.4 cps, guidance implies the second-half FFO of AUD 17.6-17.9 cps, or an uplift of 14%-16% on the first half. We see this as readily achievable given a change in the scheduled settlement mix towards more profitable sites and the guided full-year settlements of over...Stockland is engaged in owning, managing and developing shopping centres, logistics centres and business parks, office assets, residential communities, and retirement living villages. As of June 30 2016, Co.'s Commercial Property portfolio included 42 retail centres, 27 properties of logistics and business parks portfolio, and nine assets of office portfolio; and it had approximately 76,800 lots in its residentialportfolio. Also, Co. is a retirement living operator in Australia, with over 9,600 established units across five states and the Australian Capital Territory, which includes a development pipeline of over 3,100 units.
