Suncor Begins Its Share Buybacks
With oil sands growth halted, Suncor is making good on its promise to return capital to shareholders. During the quarter, Suncor bought back CAD 300 million of its own shares. The company intends to buy back CAD 2 billion of shares over a 12-month period. Additionally, the company announced a quarterly dividend of CAD 0.32 per share, which amounts to an annual dividend of CAD 1.28 per share.
