As Blue Coat replaced Veritas in Symantec’s portfolio, the firm aims at the enterprise market.

Symantec posted better-than-expected fiscal 2018 first-quarter results as tight expense control resulted in solid operating margin expansion. The company also announced a divestiture of its web security business to DigiCert (controlled by Thoma Bravo and TA Associates) for $950 million cash and a 30% equity stake in DigiCert.
