Despite a Delay, We Still Place a 75% Probability on the Syngenta-ChemChina Deal Closing

In addition to releasing third-quarter sales figures that generally matched our expectations, Syngenta admitted on Oct. 25 that ChemChina's deal to purchase Syngenta is unlikely to receive full regulatory approval by the end of 2016, the companies' prior target date. This follows news that European regulators have requested more information from Syngenta and ChemChina related to the deal.
