Telus holds up well in the wireless market but faces increasing cable aggression in wireline.
Telus delivered fourth-quarter results that modestly exceeded our expectations, thanks to strength in both wireless and wireline markets. The firm added 87,000 wireless postpaid customers, slightly trailing net addition figures of BCE (112,000) and Rogers (93,000) but higher than last year, when the industry took a hit due to mandated early expirations of three-year contracts, dubbed as “double-cohorts.†We are also encouraged by the 24,000 Internet customer net additions, which suggests the fir...TELUS is a telecommunications company providing a range of communications products and services, including wireless and wireline voice and data.
