Telus Posts In-Line Results on Wireless Strength and Profitability Improvement; Shares Fairly Valued
Telus delivered third-quarter results that were largely in line with our expectations. Like other Canadian carriers, Telus’ wireless business benefited from industrywide subscriber growth and strong growth in average revenue per user, or ARPU, as well as modest improvement on the firm’s customer churn that is already the lowest among peers. Telus’ wireline business continues to see growth moderating in Internet Access and TV markets from last year.
