Thales reported solid third-quarter sales of EUR 3.1 billion, down 2.9% on a reported basis and down 1.6% organically compared with the year-ago period, as recovery of project execution at the transport segment only partly offset negative phasing effects at aerospace (sales down 1.6% in the third quarter due to lower deliveries of avionic systems to Airbus after strong first-quarter sales) and defence and security (down 3.1%, affected by uneven sales in radio communication products).
