The value of Time Warner's high-quality video content continues to increase.
The U.S. presidential election victory by Donald Trump injects some uncertainty for media companies across our coverage and, more specifically, lowers the probability of approval for the acquisition of Time Warner for $107.50 per share (half in AT&T stock, half in cash). Prior to the election, we viewed the deal as more likely than not to be approved. Now, we think the opposite and view the deal as more likely than not to be rejected, based on President-elect Trump’s previous commentary. Thu...Time Warner is a media and entertainment company. The company classifies its businesses into three reportable segments: Turner, consisting principally of cable networks and digital media properties operating more than 175 channels globally; Home Box Office, consisting premium pay television and OTT services domestically and premium pay, basic tier television and OTT services internationally, as well as home entertainment and content licensing; and Warner Bros., consisting principally of television, feature film, home video and videogame production and distribution. The company also holds interests in companies that operate broadcast networks.
