Narrow-moat UBS reported strong 2017 results, as adjusted pretax profit increased by 19% to CHF 5.4 billion. Revenue grew by a modest 2% for the quarter, but a 1% decline in costs supported profit growth, confirming UBS’ high level of operating leverage.
