USG Says Auf Wiedersehen to the U.S. Equity Market; Agrees to $44 Per Share Knauf Takeout Bid

Just under six weeks after USG disclosed that management would begin earnest negotiations with Knauf, USG announced that it has agreed to be acquired by the Germany-based, family-owned building materials company for $44 per share, or about a 5% premium over Knauf’s earlier $42 per share offer.
