Amazon's AWS Shield Tames Long-Term Growth Expectations for DDoS Vendors
At its annual r conference Dec. 1, Amazon AWS released a distributed-denial-of-service protection product, AWS Shield. The product comes in two flavors, Standard (free of charge) and Advanced (paid), which comes with 24/7 support and provides protection for AWS’ load-balancing (ELB), content delivery network (CloudFront), and domain name system (Route 53) products.
