Renewal Rates Bounce Back in Solid 1Q for VeriSign; Maintain $80 FVE

VeriSign reported first-quarter results that were in line with our expectations. The firm saw its usual seasonal strength in .com registrations, which grew 4% to 133.9 million, though we would note this is against a light comparable period. Overall domain registration growth came in just above 3%, roughly in line with expectations. We continue to view domain name growth above 3% as a challenge longer term, and management’s guidance for 2.5% to 3.25% domain name growth in 2018 reinforces our view...
