Strong customer growth at Wayfair, but spending continues to build the business, pressuring profits.

No-moat Wayfair continues to benefit from the secular shift of consumers purchasing more of their home goods online. The company has long contended that online has been lightly penetrated in the industry, representing only 10% of home furnishing sales today, but says it is growing at about 15% annually, much faster than our outlook for the home furnishing and furniture industry over the next five years in aggregate at around 3%-4%.
