Xilinx Reiterates Aggressive Growth Targets at Analyst Day; Shares Remain Overvalued
Xilinx management outlined its expectations for the firm at its annual analyst day on May 22, including a focus on the burgeoning opportunities within cloud computing and automotive. While the firm’s expected revenue growth for fiscal 2018 is in line with our internal model, we continue to view shares as overvalued relative to our unchanged fair value estimate of $50 per share, a reflection of the competitive pressures from Intel-Altera and Nvidia that we think will limit longer-term growth for ...Xilinx designs and develops programmable devices and associated technologies, including: integrated circuits (ICs) in the form of programmable logic devices (PLDs), including programmable System on Chips and three-dimensional ICs; Adaptive Compute Acceleration Platform, a multi-core heterogeneous compute platform; software design tools to program the PLDs; software development environments and embedded platforms; targeted reference designs; printed circuit boards; and intellectual property (IP), which consists of the company and third-party verification and IP cores. In addition to its programmable platforms, the company provides design services, customer training, field engineering and technical support.
