Yanzhou Coal's long-term future remains grim.
In addition to the year-over-year coal price gains, no-moat Yanzhou Coal’s strong third-quarter result also reflects the company’s aggressive capacity expansion. Net profit came in at CNY 1.6 billion in the third quarter under PRC GAAP, rising 275% year over year, or 11% sequentially.
