A Placid 3Q for Zions Bank
Zions Bank experienced a fairly benign third quarter. During the period, the company earned $0.72 per diluted share, slightly ahead of our expectations. As a result, we're raising our 2017 earnings forecast to $2.83 per share from $2.78. This quarter's earnings grew by more than 26% year over year, with much of the improvement coming from lower credit losses.
