ABB Ltd. : A robust Q3 2023, but the Q4 guidance implies a clear continuation in the slowdown
>Unlike the previous quarters, Q3 did not beat estimates - ABB reported yesterday morning somewhat robust earnings, but which came to around 1-2% below estimates (orders, sales and operating EBIT). Orders were up 2% l-f-l (consensus at +2%), with just two of the four divisions now showing growth. The robotics & discrete automation (RA) and motion (MO) divisions were down 27% and 7% respectively. The book-to-bill stood at 1.01x. Sales grew 11% l-f-l (consensus 12%) and...ABB specializes in power and automation technologies.
