>Manufacturing activity still fragile but the decline seems to have stabilised - The PMI index estimated for December for Europe, published yesterday, does not point to an imminent recovery in growth, but activity does seem to be stabilising at a low level, which is fairly reassuring. The composite PMI came in flat at 50.6 point for the third month in a row.
