Adva Optical Networking is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. is engaged in the development, production and marketing of optical and Ethernet-based networking solutions to telecommunications carriers and enterprises to deliver data, storage, voice and video services. Co.'s optical transmission solutions are based on Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology. With WDM, multiple data streams are transmitted over a single optical fiber by assigning each stream to a different wavelength. Co. also provides Ethernet-optimized transmission solutions for fiber-based networks used to interconnect enterprises and mobile network base stations with carrier networks.

Norddeutsche Steingut is a Germany-based manufacturer and distributor of tiles, concentrating on wall and floor tiles for the residential and commercial sector. As of December 31, 2011, Co. was operational through its two wholly owned subsidiaries Nord Ceram Fliesenproduktions und -vertriebs GmbH & Co. KG, which mass produces standard- and large-size floor tiles under the Pro brand for its own sale and for partners of the parent company; as well as Bremer Wandplatten GmbH, which produces floor and wall tiles under the BW brand. NORMA Group is a holding Company. Co. manufactures and markets joining products and solutions in three product categories clamps (CLAMP), joining elements (CONNECT) and connections/fluid systems (FLUID). Co.'s clamp products and solutions are manufactured from unalloyed steels or stainless steel and are generally used to join or seal elastomer hoses. Co.'s connection products include connectors made of unalloyed steels or stainless steel that are partly equipped with elastomer or metal seals and are used as the joining and sealing elements of metal and thermoplastic pipes. Co.'s fluid products are either single or multiple layer thermoplastic plug-in connectors for liquid systems.

SFC Energy provides fuel cell generators for off-grid power applications, low and medium voltage electrical machine power products, instrumentation and measurement solutions, gas and flame detection safety systems as well as supervisory control and data acquisition solutions. For the power electronic market, Co. provides high-power electronic components, external and internal converters, switch mode power supplies, and special coils. For the defence and secutiry market, Co. provides portable power solutions that soldiers can use to run the devices they carry while on dismantled deployment. For the consumer market, Co. provides fuel cells used in hybrid operationalong with a solar module.
