BNP Paribas : Strong revenue growth in French retail banking in Q2
>Higher revenues in CIB and domestic markets - BNP Paribas reported Q2 2021 results on Friday evening. Revenues came to € 11.78bn (+0.9% vs a high level in Q2 2020), ahead of forecasts (€ 11.2bn), with the difference mainly stemming from domestic markets (revenues up 9.7% vs Q2 2020 and 3.9% above Q2 2019, 5% above the consensus) and CIB (revenues down 9.9% vs a high level in Q2 2020, 19.8% above Q2 2019 and 10% above the consensus). Note the excellent momentum in Fre...BNP Paribas is engaged in the provision of banking and financial services. Co.'s business activities are divided into two segments: Retail Banking & Services and Corporate and Investment Banking. The Retail Banking and Services business includes domestic markets and international financial services. The Corporate and Institutional Banking comprises of corporate banking, global markets, and securities services. Other activities include principal investments, which related to Co.'s central treasury function, some costs related to crossbusiness projects, the residential mortgage lending business of personal finance, and certain investments.
