BNP Paribas : Solid results in line with forecasts, despite weaker revenues in France
>Revenues up 4.3% pro forma - BNP Paribas reported its Q3 2023 financial results yesterday morning. Revenues totalled € 11.58bn, up 4.3% like-for-like, in line with expectations (consensus € 11.52bn, ODDO BHF € 11.62bn), even though revenues in French retail banking (including 100% of the private bank) fell by 3.2% to a level around 6% below the consensus estimate because of a 5.9% drop in interest income, hit by an unflattering comparison base on inflation hedging. ...BNP Paribas is engaged in the provision of banking and financial services. Co.'s business activities are divided into two segments: Retail Banking & Services and Corporate and Investment Banking. The Retail Banking and Services business includes domestic markets and international financial services. The Corporate and Institutional Banking comprises of corporate banking, global markets, and securities services. Other activities include principal investments, which related to Co.'s central treasury function, some costs related to crossbusiness projects, the residential mortgage lending business of personal finance, and certain investments.
