>Q4 2018 results 6% higher than forecast - Dialog has reported its final Q4 2018 results. The preliminary results for 2018 had been published on 14 January. Sales came in at $Â 431m, -7% y-o-y (-11% excluding Silego), in line with the preliminary sales and at the lower end of the guidance range of $Â 430m-470m. The underlying gross margin for Q4 2018 came to 48.7% vs 47.4% for the consensus. Underlying operating profit totalled $Â 103.4m, higher than the consensus estima...Dialog Semiconductor is engaged in creating and marketing mixed signal integrated circuits for personal, portable, hand-held devices, low energy short-range wireless, LED solid-state lighting and automotive applications. Co. has four segments: Mobile Systems, which includes its power management and audio chips for the wireless systems markets; Automotive and Industrial, which markets products that address the safety, management and control of electronic systems in cars and for industrial applications; Connectivity, with activities that include short-range wireless, digital cordless, Bluetooth and VoIP technology; and Power Conversion, which includes its AC/DC converter solutions.
