>Game changer announcements for SLN - As part of the rescue plan announced at end-February 2019, Eramet has just obtained from the New Caledonia government export authorisations for Société Le Nickel (SLN) to the tune of 4Mt per year in low-grade nickel ore (1.8% nickel content), for a period of 10 years. The ramp-up in exports will be immediate, with a target of 1.5Mt as of 2019 (vs 1.2Mt in 2018 and a target of 1.5Mt in 2019e), and a pace of 4Mt as of mid-2020. This...Eramet is a mining and metallurgical group, which specializes in the extraction, production and marketing of non-ferrous metals, their chemical derivatives, alloys and superalloys, and parts. Co.'s operations are divided into three divisions: Nickel division which focuses on nickel and its derivative applications; Manganese division which focuses on manganese alloys, manganese chemical derivatives and provides recovery and recycling services of metals contained in oil-industry catalysts, electric batteries and acid solutions; and Alloys division which produces and sells special high-performance steels, superalloys and pre-machined parts based on these materials or aluminium and titanium.
