European small and mid caps in H1 2026: in pursuit of lost outperformance

2026 threatens to take a political turn, sparking renewed concerns over stability and confidence. We picked stocks offering exposure to our preferred sectors (energy, property, mining and metals) and specific catalysts. Consequently, while we are maintaining Lisi, Rubis, SBM Offshore and Virbac on our European mid cap list, we are replacing the others with Cirsa, Deutz, Fagron NV, IONOS, Navigator, Salzgitter, Trigano and VGP.
