Genkyotex is engaged in the identification and development of selective NADPH Oxidase ("NOX") inhibitors to treat specific diseases, the therapeutic benefit of which has not yet been demonstrated. Co. is developing a new therapeutic approach based on the selective inhibition of NOX enzymes which are identified as potentially key factors in the development of certain complex illnesses that are difficult to treat, such as hepatic, pulmonary and renal fibrosis, certain forms of cancer, neurodegenerative diseases or even hearing problems. The capacity of NOXs to simultaneously regulate protein networks makes them a therapeutic target.

Imerys is engaged in the production and the processing of minerals. Co.'s operations can be divided into four business groups: Minerals for Ceramics, Refractories, Abrasives and Foundry (minerals mainly for floor tiles, sanitaryware, porcelain, mobile energy as well as high-temperature and abrasive industries); Performance and Filtration Minerals (plastics, rubber, coatings, sealants and adhesives, health, beauty and filtration of nutrition liquids); Pigments for Paper (filler and coating products for paper) and Materials and Monolithics (construction materials in clay and slate and monolithic products and solutions for high-temperature industries).

Co. operates waste treatment and recovery facilities and develops tools to produce energy from waste. Co. also collects and sorts all types of waste, whether household or industrial, hazardous or non-hazardous. For local authorities, Co. manages household waste and other environmental concerns. Co. is engaged in thermal treatment, storage, methanization of household waste and production of alternative fuels. For industrial clients, Co. has developed products and services for handling industrial waste from waste production sites to elimination facilities.
