Getlink : Q1 sales not quite as bad as expected, a little early for concern over the decline in market share for HGVs in our view
>Q1 sales down 33% - After reporting on 9 April its shuttle traffic for Q1 2021, Getlink released Q1 sales of € 154.4m, down 33% compared to Q1 2020 (vs ODDO BHF € 139m). There was a nice surprise from the shuttle activity, which was down just 34% to € 87.8m (ODDO BHF € 73m), despite the sharp fall in traffic (light vehicles -72%, HGVs -21%).Railway sales were down 51%, hit by the 95% decline in Eurostar passenger volumes over the quarter.
