Prosus NV : Another major acquisition: BillDesk for $ 4.7bn, leading payment platform in India
>A high valuation (19x sales) but justified by strong potential - PayU (main asset in Prosus’ payments division and 99%-owned) announced yesterday morning that it had acquired 100% of BillDesk for $ 4.7bn. This is a cash acquisition. The transaction should be finalised by end-2021/early-2022, assuming that approval is granted by the anti-trust authorities in India.
