SMA Solar Technology AG : Upward revision to our estimates following the improvement in the utilisation rate
>Good Q3 results mainly underpinned by the sale of a real estate asset - SMA Solar Technology reported its Q3 2022 results yesterday morning that were a shade above expectations. Sales came in at € 252m (-2% y-o-y) slightly shy of expectations. EBITDA totalled € 34.3m (+133% y-o-y) above expectations at €30m. EBIT was € 24.6m (+520% y-o-y) vs € 20m forecast. Net profit was € 21.6m, i.e.10.8x year-on-year, compared with ODDO BHF’s and the consensus estimate of € 16m. ...SMA Solar Technology is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. operates in five divisions: Medium Power Solutions, which distributes inverters, system solutions as well as products used for monitoring PV systems and energy management; Power Plant Solutions, which supplies central inverters and system solutions to PV plants; Service, which provides customers in Germany and abroad with support and after-sales services; Zeversolar, which serves the Chinese photovoltaic market and the budget market (low-price segment) in foreign markets; and Railway Technology, which manufactures converters as individual devices and energy supply systems for railway coaches.
