BlackRock lost a $17bn mandate from PFZW due to concerns about climate risk. A new study published in Nature has significantly downgraded the global potential of CCS for carbon geological storage. Shell has decided to permanently halt construction of its biofuel plant at the Shell Energy and Chemicals Park in Rotterdam. The Trump administration plans to revoke the permits for the SouthCoast Wind and New England Massachusetts wind farms: EDPR, ENGIE, and Iberdrola are (slightly) impacted. The trade agreement between the EU and Mercosur has been submitted for ratification despite concerns about sovereignty and the environment. On the social side, ArcelorMittal South Africa (AMSA) is preparing to lay off more than 4,000 workers. In governance, Nestlé has appointed a new CEO following the dismissal of Laurent Freixe for an undisclosed relationship with a direct subordinate.
