Last week, we published a feedback report from our Sustainability 2025 Forum. The European Commission announced measures to simplify the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), aimed at reducing administrative burdens for farmers and boosting competitiveness. Emmanuel Macron stated that CS3D "and some other regulations" should be "set aside." Stellantis indicated that it may revise its target of 100% BEV sales in Europe by 2030. According to the IEA's Global EV Outlook, 1 out of 4 cars sold worldwide will be electric in 2025, and 40% by 2030 under current policies. ArcelorMittal confirmed its intention to invest €1.2bn in an electric arc furnace in Dunkirk, but several questions remain regarding the details of this investment. The IEA's new report on critical minerals highlights a growing and problematic concentration in the mining and refining market. SAP has decided to eliminate its diversity programs and targets. L'Oréal and Henkel are being sued for failing to warn of the cancer risks associated with their hair dye products. SPIE was convicted of bribery in Indonesia, but the group disputes the charges and intends to appeal. A Senate committee alleges that Nestlé influenced the drafting of a report on the quality of its Perrier bottled water, and the government will refer the matter to the Commission for its position. The Chairman of RUBIS has announced his departure from the Board, and two new members are expected to join the board to represent the Compagnie Nationale de Navigation. Under the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), four countries have been classified as high risk.
