Last week, we published a note on the ESG outlook for 2026, along with our ESG feedback from the ODDO 2026 Forum, where many discussions focused on decarbonization, circularity, and AI. JP Morgan AM removed defense sector exclusions for 129 funds. We also provided an update on infant formula recalls, with Nestlé and Danone among the affected companies. On environmental topics, Ember published its Electricity in Europe 2026 review, the main conclusion of which is that wind & solar generates more electricity than fossil fuels in 2025. According to a strategic assessment published by the UK, global biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation pose a threat to the country's national and food security. Germany launched a € 3bn subsidy program for electric vehicles, expanding eligibility to Chinese cars. On the social front, Capgemini has launched a job-cutting plan targeting up to 2,400 people in France (7% of its local workforce). Société Générale has announced plans to eliminate 1,800 positions in France through natural attrition and internal mobility. Renault has reportedly unveiled “Ampere 2.0,” a major restructuring of its EV and software division. In governance matters, as expected, the US Supreme Court will hear the Durnell case concerning Bayer's Roundup. PwC has published a report exploring how neuroscience can improve board decision-making processes.
