Last week, the Belgian label Towards Sustainability published a note on the defense sector, maintaining its exclusion criteria while providing clarification on its policy. At the European level, the Commission presented an amendment to the climate law, aiming for a 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2040, compared to 1990. The Commission launched a consultation on exemptions to the ban on the destruction of unsold textiles provided for by ESPR. On the social side, traffic at French airports has been reduced due to air traffic controller strikes. KLM is proposing a salary increase to avoid a strike. According to Eres' annual study on employee share ownership, 2024 marked a record year in France in terms of collective plans issued and amounts subscribed. In governance, the CEO of Soitec waived a pay increase this year, a decision welcomed by unions. Following the controversy, Worldline's Chairman announced that an independent audit would be conducted and published at the end of July. The Rennes Commercial Court ruled against Carrefour on procedural grounds in its dispute with a franchisee association.
