Last week, we published a flash note confirming the attractiveness of Veolia's ESG profile following the presentation of its 2024 results, and a feedback of TotalEnergies’ Sustainability & Climate Day. PwC shared its analysis of the first 100 CSRD reports it reviewed. Allianz is relaxing its defense investment exclusion policy. On the environmental front, according to rumors reported by Politico, the EU is considering relaxing its decarbonization ambitions for 2040. Veolia has been accused by an NGO of knowingly dumping toxic products into a Colombian river. On the social front, some French companies have received a notice from the United States asking them to certify the compliance of their diversity policies with American law. In business ethics, 15 car manufacturers were fined a total of € 458m for participating in an illegal cartel on the recycling of end-of-life vehicles between 2002 and 2017. On corporate governance, the French SIF calls for companies' climate transition plans to be voted on at AGMs.
