Last week, we published three feedbacks of events organized by our team: 1/ an ESG Roadshow with ArcelorMittal, 2/ an Expert Access with IEA analysts and 3/ Governance Roadshow with Saint-Gobain. In last week’s news: the European Council and Parliament reached an agreement on the simplification of sustainability reports under the CSRD and CS3D directives. The European Commission has presented an omnibus bill aimed at simplifying environmental legislation and unveiled the much-awaited 'Grids Package'. Lithium-ion battery prices are at historically low levels, according to BNEF’s latest benchmark study on the subject. IATA warns about the slowdown in the growth of SAF and the increase in their price, which could hinder the climate ambitions of airlines. The World Economic Forum (WEF) has published a report highlighting the sector’s impacts and dependence on natural resources. On the social side, an IEA report highlights an increase in employment in the energy sector for the third consecutive year but warns of a growing shortage of certain technical skills. In governance, the shareholders of Anglo American and Teck approved the merger of the two companies into Anglo Teck. The AMF has published its annual report on corporate governance, in which it makes a specific focus on the processes of management succession.
