Last week, we published a report on the ESG Outlook for 2025. Groupe SEB unveiled its ESG 2030 roadmap. The European Commission proposed measures to strengthen the influence of farmers in the food supply chain and announced € 3bn in financing with the EIB. According to BNEF’s annual survey on lithium-ion batteries, they have seen their biggest price drop in 2024 since 2017, falling to $ 115/kWh. At the European level, the EPP’s disclosed work programme suggests a strong desire from the party to reverse many provisions of the Green Deal. More specifically, the EPP is actively campaigning to reverse CO2 regulations in the automotive sector. On the social front, we look back at the Mandatory Annual Negotiations (NAO) currently underway in banks and insurance. BHP and Rio Tinto are facing class action lawsuits for sexual harassment in Australia. HelloFresh is under investigation for alleged child labor violations in the United States. NGOs have denounced in a new report "serious human rights violations" and "growing threats" around TotalEnergies' oil projects in Uganda. In governance, 92% of SBF120 companies have integrated at least one climate / environmental target into their CEO compensation policy.
