Thales : A reassuring H1 2019 ahead of the CMD
>Impressive showing from D&S… - In H1 2019, Thales reassured investors with EBIT of € 820m, which in the end was 4.5% above our forecast adjusted for a provision release of around € 40m at D&S (reflecting the group’s cautious approach when drawing up its scenarios) and the postponement of the restructuring of the space business to H2 (vs. H1 expected). The Defence & Security division in particular posted an impressive first-half performance, generating a margin of 13....Thales is an electronics and systems group, serving defense, aeronautics, transport, space and security markets. Co.'s operations can be divided into four operating segments: Aerospace (Avionics, Space), Transportation (Ground Transport Systems), Defence & Security (Secure Communications & Information Systems Land and Air Systems, Defence Mission Systems), and DCNS. Co. designs and delivers systems for all four environments: air, land, sea and space. These systems detect and assess threats, manage information, support command decisions and control engagements through to threat neutralization. Co. is active in ground transportation; air transport; navigation systems.
