US housing: signs of stabilisation, not of a recovery
Following an erosion of mortgage rates over the past three months, signs of stabilisation in the residential sector are emerging. Homebuilder confidence, housing starts and home sales had collapsed in 2022 (but not employment), cutting into real GDP growth. The low point may have been reached.
