Verbund : The geographical diversification strategy is coming together
>A good performance in H1 2023 - Verbund reported yesterday H1 2023 results that were of good quality but slightly below our forecasts. EBITDA climbed by 64% year-on-year to € 2.26bn. Earnings were boosted in H1 by a good performance by the Hydro and New Renewables divisions, but they were impacted by the performance of the Sales business. The divisional performance breakdown is presented on page 2. EBIT totalled € 1.99bn, up 68% year-on-year. Net profit totalled € 1....Verbund is a public utility company engaged in the generation and transmission of electricity from subsidiaries' hydro and thermal power stations located throughout Austria. Through its subsidiaries, Co. is involved in the planning and construction of water systems, hydroelectric power plants, river structures, sewage disposal systems, and high voltage transmission towers and lines. Co. generates, trades and sells electrical energy to power exchange buyers, traders, energy supply companies and industrial companies as well as households and commercial customers.
