Performance - The eagerly awaited news of a successful vaccine candidate came at the start of November, boosting the stock market. Property companies that had seen their share price battered over the past eight months saw the biggest bounce back in November. Top of the list was master developer Urban & Civic, while a number of retail and office focused companies also saw strong share price rises.

Valuation moves - Results season saw dozens of companies report net asset value (NAV) moves with Warehouse REIT faring best with an 8.1% jump in the half-year to 30 September 2020.

Corporate activity - West End landlord Shaftesbury raise over £300m, while Urban & Civic agreed terms on a £506m sale of the business.

Major news stories - There was a Black Friday boon for logistics companies, while Home REIT continued to build its portfolio following its launch in October.
