Solid payrolls gain, unchanged unemployment rate, wages rising moderately

Nonfarm payrolls rose 228K in November (with private payrolls up 221K). The unemployment rate held at 4.1% in November as the labor force participation rate was unchanged at 62.7% and household employment rose 57K. Average hourly earnings increased 0.2% in November, raising year-over-year wage growth to 2.5% from 2.3%, while private-sector hours worked rose 0.5%.
