​Am Montag unterzeichnete Ucore Rare Metals Inc. (TSX.V: UCU) ein MOU mit Commerce Resources Corp. (TSX.V: CCE; Frankfurt: D7H; WKN: A0J2Q3), um Material aus der Ashram REE-Lagerstätte von Commerce in der von Ucore demletzt angekündigten REE-Separationsanlage und SMC (“Strategic Metals Complex“) in Utah/USA zu integrieren.
Der kalifornische Republikaner Duncan Hunter brachte am 7. März 2017 einen Gesetzesentwurf vor den US-Kongress, das sich mit dem Angebots-Ungleichgewicht befasst, da die USA aktuell vollständig von einer ausländischen Quelle abhängig ist, die nicht als Verbündeter betrachtet wird – China. Die Rede ist von Seltenerdmetalle (“REEs“), die so dringend zur Herstellung von Waffen und Waffensystemen benötigt werden.
“Die USA darf nicht länger vollkommen abhängig von ausländischen Quellen strategischer und kritischer Materialien sein“, sagte Hunter. “Das Risiko dieser Abhängigkeit auf die nationale Sicherheit ist zu gross und verlangt auf dringlichste Weise, dass wir unseren erschöpften inländischen Industriestandort neu etablieren.“
Commerce Resources is engaged in the business of acquiring, exploring, developing and evaluating mineral resource properties, and either joint venturing or developing these properties further or disposing of them when the evaluation is completed. Co. is in the exploration stage and has interests in properties located in British Columbia and Quebec, Canada. The recoverability of amounts shown for resource properties is dependent upon the discovery of economically recoverable reserves, continuation of Co.'s interest in the underlying mineral claims, the ability of Co. to obtain financing to complete their development, and future profitable production or disposition thereof.
