Elica is the leader producer in the worldwide cooker hoods market and one of the European leader in the market for electric motors. Elica owns 7 industrial plants: three in Italy, one in Mexico, Poland, India and China. Elica is a producer for third party clients (approx. 54% of turnover), mainly big OEMs like Whirlpool, Electrolux and Bosch, and produces also with its Own brands, mainly Elica.
In 1H2017 Elica Net Sales amounted to 242.8M€, +12.6% yoy, driven by the increase in own-brand sales, Elica brand registered a record growth higher than 40%. The normalized EBITDA amounted to 18.4M€ (+13% yoy) with an EBITDA Margin equal to 7.6%.
Elica SpA is an Italy based company operating in the kitchen hoods market. The Company has two core businesses areas: Cooking and Motors. In the first area, Cooking, the Company designs, manufactures and sells kitchen hoods for domestic use as well as manufactures household appliances and kitchens. In the second area, Motors, it designs, produces and sales electric motors for household appliances, hoods and boilers. The Company has seven plants worldwide in Italy, Poland, Mexico, India and China.
