EME Macro/Strategy: overview charts for peripheral countries

Over the past year, we have broadened our coverage to many new countries, with some frontiers and some advanced economies linked closely to the Eurozone. This report pulls together the key charts, which show the pace of the business cycle, and the external risks indicators, to monitor the impact of the energy shock on each country. Most countries do appear at risk of a BoP crisis from the energy and commodity price surge, but the situation in Mongolia is precarious, but improving very recently. External vulnerabilities are relatively high in Georgia and North Macedonia, where exchange rate stability is demanding in the current environment.
